Where California goes, Washington and Oregon usually follow - so I will be interested to see how this all plays out.

Point of interest, in my state, we've had gay marriage for the past several years now.

If it's MA, a number of commercials re: Prop 8 are using MA as an example of where CA will head- not done in a positive light. I believe they're on YouTube.

I wouldn't doubt that at all. I've never seen those commercials though, probably more local there?

It's makes me laugh that as probably the Quickie Marriage Capital of the US, we really don't talk about this much here in Nevada. I'm sure the businesses here are chomping at the bit to get same-sex marriages added to their lists.

haha I see, so like you can't even get through watching program on TV without seeing it. lol I would also like to add that I think for such an emotionally charged topic as this one would be, it's great to see the diverse views discussed and the different angles that everyone has brought into this argument. Certainly gives much to think about! You guys

Marriage is a civil contract. It should be treated as such. All the rights and responsibilities concerning wills, taxes, etc. should be available to all citizens, despite their sexual orientation.

I just wanted to see where everyone was on Prop8. Its a hard subject because it tackles religion, government and peoples basic rights. Well you guys are great and I am so happy to have everyone of you here. Our newer members are a great addition too. As Kid Rock would say "Roll on" ( my new favorite song)

Yes to gay marriage, i lost a wounderful man to aids, my uncle i went to his wedding which of course was not legal, such a shame to see two people so in love and it be wrong. I was raised around gay people because of my uncle they are no differant then us,they love, they laugh, they die,who are we to say its wrong till we die and meet our maker and have to reveal our sins, we should not cast the first stone why dosent the goverment worry about them selfs and let people live there own lives, with all the political cheating scandels, sometimes i wounder what kind of world are we leaving for our grandchildren. sorry touchy subject for me....Birdie
