in the book he says that he is sensitive and that green olives are the only thing that help him quiet down the sensitivity i guess.
you can go to amazon and look up the book and there's a blurb from it and you can read about the olives

I would point them out to whoever was with me, but no one else seemed to see them. They looked at me like I was crazy, and frankly, that was how I looked at myself. I felt like I was honestly and truly losing my mind. It was scary as all get-out. I didn't know where to turn. Then a friend introduced me to a guy named John Zaffis, who was known as a paranormal researcher in Connecticut. Zaffis ran some tests and determined that I was becoming sensitive to paranormal phenomena. ..... Then, one day in the aquarium at Mystic, Connecticut, a woman in her fifties came up to me out of nowhere and asked in a tender, almost intimate way, "How are you doing?" It was a strange question to ask someone she had never met. Before I could answer her, she continued. "Hon," she said, "you're seeing things, I know. But you can make it stop. Try green olives. I'll see you again soon." Then she walked away. I was too dumbfounded to stop her and ask her how she knew about my problem. Stranger still, the green olive approach worked. I ate those suckers all day long, a bottle a day, and the visions I'd been having went away. I wasn't cured for life, because whenever I stopped eating olives the visions came back. But at least I had found a way to alleviate the symptoms. astore.amazon.com/science-books-20/detail/1416541136

So true! Jason wrote the whole thing (you can tell because of all the digs towards Brian) and Grant got to add a little something at the end of the chapters. What a tool.

I'd like to see them say or write anything, completely independent of the other. Don't let the other know what was said until they are published or recorded. I think they're Siamese Twins, joined at the ego. *LMAO*

LOL Well I am just about finished with the book.. it is a little difficult to go through because it's pages and pages and pages of literally how Jay talks. Which can get a lil tiresome sometimes. (Well, duh I guess... how would he write??) But anyhow... there are a few blurbs like, "this didn't get on the show" when they started getting into the cases that were aired. So I guess it was an interesting read. Plus it has a nifty lil dictionary in the end, just so you can find out what "EVP" means!!!

I am curious, does anyone outside of Jason believe that green olives have the power to quell spirit sensitivity? lol

Some lady told him to do it. It was a very interesting story.
The book was good. They got into some seriously weird stuff early on before Ghost Hunters.

The did Carson... I personally have never heard anything about green olives... and I work with herbs/healing.... So I'm not sure, maybe an old wives tale?

Green olives are excellent. I like to mix them into my tuna and macoroni salad. I guess this excludes me from becoming a member of TAPS.
