Michael ... you know I just checked this thread now and whn I first opened it I thought it was Brian in drag .. HIGHLY disappointed that it isnt now. FAIL! lol

Chrissy,
Someone else said it looked like Brian in drag. LOL
I grew up in California, spent three years in England, one year in South Bend, Indiana, one year in Michigan, five years in Vermont, two years in Connecticut, and about sixth months (total) in Kentucky.
Here's my take on the strong points of each. I don't mean to offend anyone.
California - weather and woman
England - architecture and tea
Michigan - lake effect snow
Vermont - skiiing locations and pot smokers
Connecticut - historic homes
South Bend, Indiana - fire flies?
Kentucky - my ex wife's family

i feel the same way pink, about cali and nevada. I thought the same thing about CA until I saw Dusty's photos. Once thought it was over crowded and nothing but cities. It never made the top 700 on my list. His words and his photography convinced me otherwise. CA has EVERYTHING: ocean, forest, sun, snow, mountains, plains, and everything in between.

I worked in Laporte. they observed day light savings South Bend didn't. that sucked, but I have fond memories of the Studebaker Museum.

California is an absolutely beautiful state. There are so many fun things to do and see here, and the weather ... well, no need to say more.

I saw Elvis in concert at the Hilton. Elvis weighed about 230 at the time. I was also unsuccessful in trying to sneak up to his room with a friend on another occasion. But we did see some dude in dark glasses and sideburns (in a white robe) on an upper balcony who waved at us. I don't think it was Elvis because I didn't see him waving any hand guns. Michael

Ohhh I thought about places I love in the states and I thought Flagstaff, AZ was beautiful and perfect weather. I hated SC at the university (Gamecocks) they were infested with "palmeto bugs" ... ya right .. where I come from we call em BIG hiney ROACHES!! lol
