Those were two great, creepy episodes! I hope they keep up the momentum the rest of the season. I've seen a couple of good shows done by these guys and a couple of clunkers. I'm glad they came out of the gate this season with two strong shows. Looking forward to the rest of the season now

It looks like this show is really gaining momentum and popularity. I was just watching The Insider on CBS (one of those Hollywood insider shows) and they just did a little special on Paranormal State calling them "Hollywood's favorite ghost hunters." The did a preview of Monday night's show and showed some great footage of a chair moving on it's own with FLIR. The chair made a twisting movement, not just a shove- pretty cool! They also visit a ranch where a 600 gallon water trough for horses ended up 15 yards away without any drag marks at all. Can't wait for Monday night's show now-

Last night was interesting on several fronts. I see that Ryan has sold out to a cell phone company and is pimping ads within the shows' format- it really takes away from the whole thing. Also, the show is much more 'stylistically' filmed. When Ryan was interviewing the woman ranch owner at her kitchen table, the background window had fog and a flashlight panning around, done for obvious effect. I see them using fog and flashlights a lot, which tells me they have an actual production team and stylists following them to shoots. Really takes away a lot of appeal to me. I don't watch the show for credibility, but only for entertainment, so I try to be patient with it.
But when they showed that animal down (a horse?) before commercial break, they came back to it in such a convoluted way and swept it under the rug almost immediately- it left me shaking my head. The whole thing was ridiculous- they burned down a cedar tree and all hell breaks loose? I'm sure that is not the first cedar tree to be burned down!
The second show was interesting- they end up, essentially, admitting that they were probably duped. They didn't exactly call it a hoax, but eluded to it strongly and left it at that. I definitely see the shows flaws, but I knew about them before. I'll still watch and enjoy this season and will use this thread to comment on the shows. What are your thoughts on the show?
