On the last episode they supposedly got and evp that replied Yeah in response to a comment that Rob made. The only problem is that most of the ghosts they claimed that haunted the place. were from the 1600's until World war I. Yeah did not become used until the 1950's to the 1960's. It did not appear in any writings or common useage until then. Unless the Ghosts are now supposedly learining from those they haunt.

I think that the "Yeah" response may have come from Robb as an unconscious comment under his breath. It sounded like the kind of thing he may be been totally unaware of.

Have to agree CB.... my first thought, after rewinding several times to hear the "yeah", was that a crew or cast member had uttered it under their breath. I wouldn't have included that as evidence...it didn't impress me as being other-worldly at all. None of the EVP's really do much for me....too many other more plausible explanations for them....

If someone asked that question around me I would probably answer yeah too. To me it seemed obvious that it was someone else on the team.

I agree with all of you - I don't believe that EVP was paranormal at all. Besides, why even present it with the cool picture that they got?

Good points everyone, I especially like the ponderance of maybe the ghosts are learning something from those they haunt. If you think on it, intelligent hauntings do supposedly have an awareness of those around them. Makes you wonder what some of the spirits think of today that died hundreds of years ago? AAAANND how they are dealing with it?

Hiya. I've seen this discussed elsewhere as well. If we were dealing with an intelligent spirit, then it should be able to learn. So, for example, if we were to ask "Do you like microwaves?", and the answer came back "yes", would that be impossible as a ghost from the 1600's wouldn't know what a microwave is? An intelligent spirit that is aware of the investigators around it, should be able to use changing dialects as well. Did we know that this evp might raise eyebrows? Yes, but we present what we find and let you make decisions for yourself. If you think it was crew or even myself, I can fully understand, but we do our best to avoid this situation. Oh, by the way, the first person to say "Dustin is rubbing off on Robb" when I get bashed for wearing my hat backwards tomorrow night wins. Everyone after that ties for second place....

Dustin is rubbing off on Rob! What do I win? A cameo on G.H.I.? Oh, I don't want all that glory, just have someone write Bowl on the wall and give it a glimpse on camera.

Damn! You beat me to it!!! I'll go for second... That Dustin is rubbing off on Robb.... Thanks for the clarifications, Robb. By the way, the hats don't bother me. Dustin has a right to wear silly hats...although it is a shame that they have wound up being a distraction to some, which in turn distracts from the work that he does. Oh well... Looking forward to Robb's hat and an EVP from a Victorian-era spirit asking what the hell is that "cooking box"

Alright. Tomorrow night I'm looking for Robb to say at least seven 'um's, and an EVP that says "Microwaves suck! George Foreman grills are more of my thing, yo!" Speaking of George Foreman, I just realized that we have a George Foreman toaster with a bun warmer on the side and that just totally confuses me.

Well first I need to clarify, did you wear your hat backwards, or backwards and upside down??

Robb, you need to spike your hair and wear a hat like Dustin's before we can say Dustin has rubbed off on you

I completely agree. If a spirit truly is "intelligent" then one would expect it to learn from its experiences. But that raises the question, how do we know it is intelligent? Because it responds "yes" to the question about microwaves doesn't necessarily mean that is the question it is answering. Maybe it says "yes" at the same time every day.
Then again, if it can learn, how well can it learn? How aware of its surroundings is it? I think that's the real question. If it is aware of its surrounds with total clarity, then it should be able to learn anything. An entity that's been around for a couple hundred years has a lot of time to learn. But, only if it is aware of its surrounds.
Another fun series of questions.

If I had a few hundred years to learn stuff, I'd take up particle physics and reconstruct my physical matter ...but this time w/ bigger shoulders and huge biceps, I'd call 'em my guns.
As far as the hat thing goes I draw the line at those dumba$$ cat in the hat dr suess hats. That's when I stop watching.
