Ive been the MA once but would love to go back and see it. My group was thinking about going to Salem around halloween time. when? IDK Normally Halloween night is the best time to go because on that particular night they keep everything open all night long.

I know I went there in Augest, it was hot and humid. And from all the walking I was taking a shower every night when I got backto my hotel room. I know I would hae to do the same around that time too. But to get dressed up and have fun in a "haunted" town is always fun

Oh it is soo much fun. Does anyone remember the movie hocus pocus? Well the school shot when the kids are running and screaming cause the killed the witches? Well that shot was taken in Salem's town. Its across the way from the witch trial musem. Thats what the tour guide told me

For some of us westerners that's an expensive vacation! I just checked airfares from SLC to Boston, the cheapest flight (SLC-Dallas-NYC-Boston) which takes over 8 hours with layovers costs $392.00. The non-stop flight or even ones with only on stop is over $600.
Then the hotel, food, admissions, souvenirs and such....were talking well over $1,500. for just 4 days. I know that hotel rooms could be double occupancy and that would cut some of the costs. But it is really far too much to be spending for a few days trip.

Hey!!! When I was in high school we thought it was funny to go to gas stations (they had not invented self-serve yet) and ask for a quarters worth of gas!!! The BIG price of gas then was .38 cents a gallon....and my father owned the gas station so it was free for me!!!

The Crucible was about the McCarthy investigations....not the witch trials....Arthur Miller used the metaphor of the witchtrials for his opinions of the investigations.
Oh yea...and that free gas thing turned out later to be me bailing out drunk father out of jail because he kept driving drunk and getting arrested!!!
So in perfect hind sight...I should have paid for the gas!!!
