Yes it was. I find it VERY hard to believe Jason and Grant didn't know about the effects. I say they did. They just needed a storyline to make the episode interesting and give people something to debate and discuss. And I'd say Moss Beach was in on it - otherwise they could possibly SUE GH for they way they were treated. I believe they knew about it too. And if they sincerely didn't, then they should be pretty upset at their historical researcher on their team for failing to mention this.

I posted this on Skiffy... ...I'm sure it will quickly disappear. Considering someone was punished here recently for actions that happened elsewhere...
... I'd like to inform Sci-Fi of inappropriate behavior to have those who did so punished as well.
You can find what I have issue with here. www.beyondreality.planetparanormal.com/ You can fast forward the show to time 02:03:15 to listen to the question and Jason and Grant's comments.
For those who don't care to listen to the whole show, I took the time to transcribe the part of issue. Apologies in advance, I did the best I could and there was a lot of stammering.
Lizzie: My name is Lizzie and I'm from Tartan, Massachusetts.
Grant: Tartan.
Lizzie: Tartan.
Grant: Just like you're from Scotland.
Lizzie: Right off 44. Um, my question and this has been bugging me ever since I saw the episode and I ask this with all seriousness. The episode when you were at the, um, the museum in New York.
Jason: Yeah?
Lizzie: And you're talking to the curator.
Grant: Yes?
Lizzie: Did you ever think once, dude looks like a lady?
[Audience laughter]
Jason: You know.
Grant: Uh.
Jason: I dont, uh.
Grant: More than you know.
Jason: Uh, yeah. Uh, we, uh. You know, uh. Let's just say.
Grant: More than you know man, more than you know.
Jason: We, uh, yeah.
Grant: Well I yeah.
Jason: We found it weird that she had a bigger Adam's Apple than Grant and I.
Lizzie: Ok.
Grant: Let's just say that yeah, [Ineligible I'm guessing the following as best as I heard] that scarves should cover somethings.
Lizzie: Ok thank you, you just. Now I don't have to think about it again.
Jason: Yes
Grant: Man hands. Man hands. He was, he, uh. She, uh. She was a very nice man, uh lady. Moving on.
Jason: We are on air.
Grant: I know, it's all good.
I really think... the least --- an apology should be issued from Grant and Jay for their comments to this person and their audience for such behavior. I'm pretty much saddened that while they had an opportunity to move along after the laughter, ignoring the question and moving along, neither did and they both took the time to think of and make insulting comments.
If we're holding Moderators here to higher standards and to certain levels of behavior OFF these forums then the same people involved with the show that this forum is for should be held to the same higher standards. Sci-Fi can consider this my initial complaint. One that I plan on mailing as well. Letters will be going to Pilgrim and Oxygen too.RTT

But still, does that make it okay to make fun of people like that? What was the message? What were they telling the kids in the audience? If somebody seems to be gender-confused (and who makes that decision), then it's okay to poke fun at them? If somebody looks different or acts different then it's okay to attack them? I think they owe her an apology for their remarks. And, a public one at that. Ok, RELAX Bob- you act as though each member under 18 that attended that forum now needs therapy. I'm sorry that I'm not jumping on this horrified bandwagon. As a longstanding member of this forum, I have the right to respectfully disagree AND the right to make observations based on photographs that were supplied. I wasn't being "offensive" because I was not making fun of her; rather, I was stating what was true. She does have a large adams apple; she does have large hands. Mommybear, you are new to this board and I welcome you. You also don't know me well and do not realize that my post, in fact, had nothing to do with you. Your analogy implies that I was somehow blanketing my statement to all tall women- this is implicitly false. Even though you are tall, you are not her. There is much to be said about PUBLIC decorum- of which I was clearly NOT referring to in my previous post. Jason and Grant made a faux pas- tragic but a fact of life in both public and private settings. We all make errors in judgment and have misspoken. Those of you who have not, you may now toss your first stone at the glass house. Honestly, enough already. Dead horse.

That must be Taunton Massachusetts because Rt 44 goes right through it.

In fact the only reason I caught on that it was suppose to be Taunton was because of the Rt 44 statement.

I am 100% certain that I have erred in judgment plenty of times and misspoke in haste. I'll be first to admit it. I think we have all said things in haste that we wish we had never said, myself included. But I am not a head of an organization that prides itself on professionalism and respect. Jason and Grant have been doing conventions for at least 3 years. They are not rookies at this. I'm sure they are well versed on how to answer difficult questions. They could have stopped themselves once they realized they said a comment that was inappropriate. But they chose to continue with their childish banter. They could have even made an apology right then and there once they realized what they said. They chose not to do that either. So what was Grant's final words on this? "I know, it's all good" No, Grant. It's not all good. For whom exactly is it good for? Surely not for your past client PI that was verbally abused just so you and Jason can get a rise out of your audience.

There has also been many occasions where their speech is not seasoned with salt such as the fact that it is not uncommon for them to refer to skeptics or doubters as morons or idiots. Yet they never take responsibility for their mishaps like this, they only excuse it away each and every time it seems.

When people are treated badly on their TAPS forum, they just say they have no control over such things. But I've always believed that the TAPS forum reflects the leadership of the TAPS organization. The insensitive comments made by J&G at the event in New Hampshire wouldn’t inspire the best behavior in any organization. People do take cues from the people in charge of an organization to which they belong. Especially in the case of certain scary, overly devoted TAPS fanatics. I find it difficult to respect any group that demonstrates such a lack of respect for its clients. What ever happened to TAPS being there to help people? It seems like these days its more important to say what some insensitive jerk who has paid money to talk to J&G wants to hear than it is to be respectful of someone who has merely asked for help. I guess the message to GH fans really is: “We’re here to help…. (ourselves to your money)!”

I wasn't being "offensive" because I was not making fun of her; rather, I was stating what was true. She does have a large adams apple; she does have large hands. Not at all, JJ. First of all, I had no intention getting after you. My comments were directed at Jason and Grant. They are public speakers, like it or not. They carry a message and have a television network to broadcast it for them. They therefore also carry a certain amount of responsibility to the viewers. They also carry one to the clients, but that's another matter.
All I was trying to say was that Jason and Grant owe a public apology for their thoughtless and careless act. Take if or leave it, that's all I was saying.
I do apologize to you if I said or did anything that hurt your feelings. I never intended to do that. Namaste.
