Does anyone do this? I am going to go do one tomorrow I glanced at this because some people I talk to online do it, and noticed there is one at the park across from my house that logan and i go to every day. Its kind of like a treasure hunt for a small container hidden outdoors but not buried and you sometimes get hints and when you find it you either sign your name in the paper or trade a small item for the one in there. Then you log on line and can include a pic of you holing the container. Some are easy and others are very difficult to find like up in mountains or a long hike. Some give you the coordinates to exactly where they are. There are ten within a 20 minute walk from my house so I think I am going to try this hobby out and get some exercise before winter hits. Any hints from anyone who has done this before. Anyone else want to do this also? Heres the website that you find out where they are located. www.geocaching.com/

I always wanted to try this but never had a GPS unit. I now have a phone with GPS, but I don't think I can do coordinates on it.

I know a lot of people are really interested in this. In the park where I work I know people do it. It looks pretty cool and I'd like to try it someday.

okay so I went with my son and did one today it took us all around the park with hints of where to find some hidden numbers then a simple addition and subtraction equation told me the coordinates to the final location. I probably looked like a dork running around the lake with a gps looking over the edges of the bridges and stuff haha, I finally found the final location and started looking I saw an obvious hiding place in a hollow tree, and glanced in, woo hoo I found it! Turned out that was an empty single serve makers mark whiskey, empty. Not what I was looking for. Glanced in the hollow tree next to it and saw it was empty. Almost certain I wasnt going to find it I decided to check in the empty hollow tree again and way deep in there almost under where my feet were I felt something hard. Pulled it out and it was a blacked out tupperware! I was so excited to find it on my first try. I signed the log with my and logans name, and we traded an american flag/eagle pin for a puka shell bracelet. So treasure in hand I closed it and rehid it, went home and added my first find into the online log. I am going to try and do another one tomorrow!
