How much longer do you think GH go on with fraud scandles over and over again?

I suspect until they wind up getting canceled. I don't see an end to this at all.

I suspect until they wind up getting canceled. I don't see an end to this at all. As long as the ratings are good, they will continue. It's all about making money. SciFi is a business, as is Pilgrim. That's their sole motivation. If nothing else, this event will only inspire more people to tune in.

This can't last forever. Eventually they'll get too old or the show will start to really be bad. Who knows how long it will be, but I don't see it lasting that much longer.

The only good news is that more and more local amateur groups are going to begin distancing themselves from Ghost Hunters. Some of TAPS family members out here in CA bite their tongue on a regular basis since MBD. One possibility is that a new kind of group will emerge on television and create a new movement. The problem is that truth is not popular so it's likely to be two Comcast cable guys riding around in Comcast vans that are transformed by night into paranormal units apparently driving across the country to fix people's connections to the afterlife. One thing I've recently learned from the paranormal groups out there is that many don't take GH seriously and realize it's a TV show. Many groups were formed before the series and consider it a fad. Since they actually DO the work they realize what a joke the show actually is. We even have a Group in the Spotlight which is a TAPS Family member and they bluntly pointed out that tv is only for entertainment. We have another group which will not even add you as a member if your interest in the paranormal doesn't predate the present ghost hunting "fad."

KK, I have to admit that I've been pleasently surprised by how sensible the majority of groups that have been on TIPS seem to be. I think GH is like any other fad, and it will eventually end. Meanwhile, the sensible people doing good work will continue doing what they do. It would be nice to see a realistic show about paranormal investigations, but if viewers are looking for college students fighting off demons in the dark, or plumbers who hunt ghosts with not so scientific methods, then that is what the viewers will get. So if you want a certain type of programming, maybe it would help to start a petition demanding what you want, instead of just complaining about what you don't want to watch anymore?

How much longer do you think GH go on with fraud scandles over and over again? I predict that Ghost Hunters will not go beyond one more season. Pilgrim has enough spin off shows to keep bringing in the $$$$. Michael

I think that as long as Pilgrim and SciFi continue to make a profit, GH will remain on the air. If, someday, Jason and Grant decide to retire, that will probably kill the show unless they have some attractive co-stars by then.
People will watch what attracts their attention. The people on skiffy who howl and scream that everything is fake are sadly a minority, but they help attract attention to the show. More people tune in to see the fraud, they discuss it with their friends, they tune in, and so on and so on. I really don't see an end in sight. Look at the crowds who show up to see Jason and Grant talk. It's like a Star Trek convention.
They were on The View not too long ago. Whoopi Goldberg introduced them as "my good friends, Jason and Grant." That doesn't sound to me like they're not going away any time soon. Sadly, they're here to stay.

They average a 2.0 rating. Most recently - 1.7
The ratings drop may continue, but the plus side is that the show is relatively inexpensive to produce.

The critics are vocal - but the fans are rabid. My guess is it will be around as long as people are still talking about it.
