Check out this info on this creepy strech of land in Vermont that is a hot spot for unexplained, bizzare, and/or paranoraml events. There are places in the world where, for one reason or another, people just seem to disappear without a trace... little closer to home, we have what has come to be called the Bennington Triangle.
The area surrounding Glastenbury Mountain has always had a bit of darkness associated with it. To the Native Americans, it was alleged to be "cursed land," a region where all four winds met. www.virtualvermonter.com/almanac/benntriangle.htmThe Bennington Triangle
The movie The Blair Witch Project portrays a terrifying bit of (fictional) folklore where people mysteriously disappear deep in the woods, go insane, or witness strange sights or sounds. Although fictional, events portrayed in the movie have occured in real life. During a five year period in the Green Mountains of Vermont, 10 people have disappeared without a trace in an area of woods known for mysterious creatures, strange lights, and spooky spectres.
Many unexplained events have baffled and mystified people throughout Vermont history, but none were as startling and publicized as the mysterious disappearances of ten people in the Glastenbury Wilderness.www.weird-encyclopedia.com/bennington-triangle.phpShare your thoughts!

Excellent question! I noticed that there are so many triangles out there myself. Why is it always in the shape of a triangle? Maybe it could be that because of the infamous Burmuda triangle people are always wanting to triangularize these strange areas when in reality maybe they have different surface shapes?

xXSpookyXx.. Have you ever noticed that the majority of these disappearances take place in December? Any ideas on why this could be?

xXSpookyXx.. Have you ever noticed that the majority of these disappearances take place in December? Any ideas on why this could be? Hmm now that you mention it, and given the time of year this most likely happens, I think there is a very natural reason. In Vermont, the winters are brutal. I think what happens is people going hiking or hunting alone wind up lost and stuck in bizzards out in the middle of the mountains and then dying. During that time, non-hybernating scavenger animals may then happen across the body, and food is scarce; this is an easy fix so they feast and scatter the remains and bones all over the place (sorry for the gruesome details) and thus make a whole human much harder to find. However this is really just my estimated guess giving the time of year this tends to occur.

But in the Bermuda Triangle it's the same thing. I noticed that along time ago . Not all happen in December,. but I think that MOST of them do. I did think some more on this and was wondering if maybe the winter solstice has anything to do with it. I would like to hear some theories on this if anyone has them.

When seasons change so does the climate even in warm conditions there are changes even if heat wise it isn't all that noticable.
