I don't trust birds they have shifty eyes. Especially when their eyes are shifty because they have gum in one of them. ROFL

I used to breed sulphur crested cockatoos, rainbow lorikeets and budgies as well as a few others. Now I am here in the US I am starting too again. Problem is here that these birds are classed as exotic species and cost a shitload. Back home they are everywhere. We are now also looking at buying a couple of red roo's and some sugar gliders. All good aussie animals that we want to breed and have fun with. B.

I don't really like caging birds. I find that birds should be let out into the wild unless they are hurt and need assistance. It is just my opinion. They still are pretty birds though!

I saw what I believe was a Baltimore Oriole in my area for the first time in probably 30 years or so. They are native to the area, but obviously quite sparse.
Beautiful bird, bright orange. The only reason I am thinking it may have been something different was because I am thinking the head was also very bright orange. Maybe it was a female with coloring as vivid as the males?

Well train sometimes birds are safer in cages. Eg; Budgies or you guys call 'em parakeets. They are native to Australia, and in the wild, they are naturally green. Any of the brightly coloured budgies can not survive the wild. Their colour alone makes them attractive to predators. Although you should see a flock of wild budgies take off from the ground, a beautiful big clowd of green and the noise is awesome. Brian.

Yeah Deb, Sugar gliders are very cool pets. There only about 50 bucks a piece, and 150 for a good breeding pair. They do need some TLC but man, when they are that cute it aint hard.

I have a parekeet. We are trying to get rid of the thing. If anyone wants him and is willing to come to NY for it...by all means its yours. No charge! Free bird, cage, stuff that it craps on, food, bath, everything!!!! It will be doing me and my parents a favor.
