I think Bigfoot if anything is just a big Gorilla. I dont think its any half man half monkey/bear thing that they claim.

I don't really believe it, but I dunno. I know there are paranormal teams out there that are more into cryptozoology. We had a team as a guest on our blogtalkradio show and I remember them saying that there could possibly be colonies of sasquatches. Still, I'd need a lot more evidence than eyewitness accounts and bogus footprint molds.

Well, I grew up in Oregon. The Pacific Northwest is the home of Bigfoot. I think that there might be something out there in the wilderness but I have a hard time believing that we have never found any sign of it alive or dead. But, I have always been intriqued by the tales and might for fun delve into it a bit more. If for no other reason to have something to talk about here in this thread.

Personally I am very skeptical of bigfoot. For one thing, this creature has been reported all over the US and Canada as well as other parts of the world. Here is a link of known reports of sightings... www.bfro.net/GDB/I said known because I expect that there are a lot of other sightings that were not collected in the data on this site. So what we learn from this alone is that if this animal exists then it is widely dispersed in every single state in the USA, and is in most of the Canadian provinces. In addition, it was spotted in the remote continent of Australia was well as parts of Europe and Asia. Thus is it very safe to say then, that this animal is not just in one or two remote areas of the world but all over the place. Heck, there is even supposedly one in my immediate area roaming our woods. Two cops claimed it lifted the back of their cruiser. Keeping this in mind, to me it seems ludicris that fur such a widely dispersed animal, there hasn't been a single solid piece of evidence that would hold up to scientific scrutiny and confirm it as an actual animal. With such an animal that has populated the whole entire USA, and spilled into much of Canada, it seems neigh unlikely that they have ALL managed to allude capture, or at least been seen long enough to be followed around by a zoologist and studied in it's natural habitant. I am not very satisfied with the reasons that I have been given by believers on their bigfoot sites. For instance, when ever you bring up the fact that not even bones have been found, the favorite response is to claim that we've never found bear bones in the woods either. However, yes we have found bear bones in the wild, in addition, we also have live bear specimens to show. In the end though, I hold off from being in total absolute disbelief and try to stay more agnostic about them.

I still think that with all the technology these days, I dont see how anything like a "big foot" could exist without being found .

I still think that with all the technology these days, I dont see how anything like a "big foot" could exist without being found . Well that's the thing, with such a widely dispersed animal as this would be, due to all the sightings, it seems pretty much unrealistic that either one wouldn't have been captured or found dead by now, or observed by zoologists.

Exactly, especially with them reproducting there should be tons of them. And if they are not reproducing, then the bigfoot should have died years ago seeing as the bigfoot phenominon has been around for sooo frigan long. Im going to have to say I dont beleive in bigfoot at all.

When I was young I believed in Bigfoot. I grew up in Washington state and I know how dense those forests are. Then, I became skeptical about it, until I saw the Monster quest episode about Bigfoot. They really did a fine job of examining all the facts and hired scientists to try to duplicate the walk of the creature on the Roger Patterson film. They found that a human being is unable to duplicate that walk. The most eerie part of the show was when they set up alarms around a cabin that allegedly was visited by Sasquatch regularly. They heard something in the night and went out to try to film it. One of the cameramen threw a rock into the woods. It was returned with such velocity that it completely cleared the crew and landed on the roof of the cabin. It was a big rock too. The owner of the cabin had placed a board with a bunch of screws sticking up. Something stepped on the screws and left blood and hair. Whatever university lab they sent it to was unable to identify the hair and said that the blood was not human, but contained lots of DNA that was close to being human. It was a great show. Finally, don't forget that Sasquatch did make an appearance on Ghost Hunters. Here's proof:

LMAO @ the pic... I still think that the bigfoot is not human but a monkey or a bear that walks on 2 feet if anything.

LMAO @ the pic... I still think that the bigfoot is not human but a monkey or a bear that walks on 2 feet if anything. The bipedal aspect makes it more human than monkey/ape or bear. Modern humans are the only biped hominids. Whatever this thing is, it's a biped yet not fully human. The DNA that was collected had human-like strands in it, but was not fully human.
Monster Quest had a great show on last night about giganthropithecus (SP?) and how closely it comes to descriptions of Sasquatch.

I saw that same program that you did. Although the collected evidence is definitely interesting, it just doesn't really hold up to scrutiny. Like how do we know what threw the rock? The hairs and testing didn't really prove what animal it was nor confirmed human or a bigfoot. The hairs resembled that of a bear but still were not confirmable. In the end it neither proves or disproves bigfoot. However, like you I did find the show worth a watch and would recommend it to anyone out there. As for that infamous Patterson video, I recall a program once where some one camed forward admiting to being the one that wore a suit in that and admitted that they had conducted a hoax and showed how they did it. lol That's hillarious!
