I have to look at this differently. I have somne mates in the land of eh. Canadia. Now these blokes are avid hunters and out all the time. In their particular area it is known for timber wolves. In all of their years of hunting, they have seen wolves twice. On both occasions they tried to get closer but the wolves were too smart and bailed out. Could'nt even get close to 'em. Now when the majority of people are in the bush, outback, whatever, they are not expecting to see anything of this sort. Even a man who is a bushie can hide well enough almost in plain view and most people won't see him. It's just a matter of knowing the lay of the land. Believe it or not, take it from someone who has done it and lived it in the Aussie outback. It is not hard to hide from people. There are unique areas all over the States that could sustain almost nay sort of wildlife. As well as any other continent. Personally I believe and follow news stories and sightings of these creatures whenever I can. There have been sightings by respected people here in my area that can't just be blown off. Once again the skeptics keep the bastards honest, so fabrication of material is too hard now. Hence sightings are less, because no one can just place fake prints or say they had a sighting and expect people to believe it. Now there are avid hunters that will spend time and money to investigate. As we live in a world of "show me the proof" we are too harsh and discredit things too easily. Especially things we don't understand or just can't comprehend. Bigfoot to me is as real as any ghost or UFO is to anyone else. Anyway, just my take on it, don't be blaming me when some big hairy fucker steals your x box some night, I tried to give you a heads up. Brian.

I saw that same program that you did. Although the collected evidence is definitely interesting, it just doesn't really hold up to scrutiny. Like how do we know what threw the rock? The hairs and testing didn't really prove what animal it was nor confirmed human or a bigfoot. The hairs resembled that of a bear but still were not confirmable. In the end it neither proves or disproves bigfoot. However, like you I did find the show worth a watch and would recommend it to anyone out there.
As for that infamous Patterson video, I recall a program once where some one camed forward admiting to being the one that wore a suit in that and admitted that they had conducted a hoax and showed how they did it. I don't say that it's proof either. But, it does raise interesting questions. The inability to duplicate the walk and the odd DNA sample were the most interesting.
When they digitalized the Patterson footage, they could see facial movement and mouth signals seen in many primates. As for the guy who claimed to be the one wearing a suit. He turned out to be a fake himself. He couldn't recall where they shot the footage nor produce the suit.
Again, not proof, but raising more questions. After swinging from true believer to skeptic, this information has brought me back to center.

Wow I didn't know that they investigated him and his claims and found him to be a fraud himself. Thanks for sharing that!

A few documented sightings of BF......
Report Posted To GCBRO Web Site On: March 1, 2008 DATE: September 25, 2007
TIME: 3:00 AM
LOCATION: Coconino County, Arizona
TERRAIN: National Forest
OBSERVED: I have seen this large figure standing near the freeway about 15 feet away from the railing. It was whitish gray, it head facing toward the road. I could only see its shoulder and upper torso off from a distance. I was driving alone back home and going at about 70 miles an hour. My head lamp could shine above the railing into the woods and there in the woods was a thing standing. It seem like it wanted to cross the freeway going westward. I slowed the car down to 60 miles an hour and was observing this thing for about several second, and I could not figure the face on that thing. The facial part does not seem to come clear to me. The area it was standing was inclined downward from the railing. It lower part from the waist like the leg might be about five feet downward. Then, I looked into my mirror and notice that the two trucks I passed were a few miles behind. I kept driving and wondered about this thing I have just seen.
Activities of Witness: Driving on the Freeway and very lite traffic. there were very few car driving at that time of the morning.
Description of Creature: I believe this thing was about eight to nine feet tall, and it seem that it did not have a neck. This creature was gray and whitish hair. All sighting reported in articles that I have read are red hair, dark hair, and not gray or whitish colored. .
Next sighting.
Report Posted To GCBRO Web Site On: March 1, 2008
DATE: November 1, 1981
TIME: Night-time
LOCATION: Taylor County, Florida
TERRAIN: Swampy
OBSERVED: During November -December hunting season in 1981 my stepfather took us hunting many times in the XXXXXXXXXXXX area. His family had owned many acres of land in that area for years. We spent quite a bit of time in the area camping out sleeping in makeshift lean-tos. Numerous times while being left alone I can remember the eerie sensation like we were being watched and the hair standing up on the back of my neck. One evening it all came to a climax. After a day of hunting discussing how astounded we were as to how quiet it had been and how still the game was. There was no sound of crickets or nothing, not even a bird making a noise. There was one noise we did hear occasionally which sounded like a hoot owl on steroids. (After listening to some vocalizations on here I am sure they are the same) We did discuss a very distinct odor which smelled like a skunk or worse. My step father said it was just a wild hog or so he thought and we made nothing of it. Hours later I remember being awakened by my step father setting up and screaming at something to get away. He quickly fired several shots of a rifle up into the air. ( The same stench at this time was terrible and gut wrenching) We could all hear a loud crashing noise as whatever it was ran off into the woods. As we sit up and was talking he described a tall looming figure which walked up and was looming over the lean to was looming over it. He guessed at least 7 feet tall.
A loud hoot owl like noise several times during the night . All over animals had been quiet that day and not even any insects making a noise.
Activities of Witness: We were all asleep in the lean to. We had retired somewhat early as we had been hunting for several days in the area and were tired.
Description of Creature: We all smelled a distinct odor worse than a skunk. My stepfather described it at least seven feet talk and walking on two legs.
Other Notes: There were several trees in the area where seven to eight feet up bark and limbs had been stripped off....
Other (Informational or Encounter History in the General Area) Notes: About a week earlier, my stepfather and a friend had shot a young buck. The buck was in a dead run like it was running from something. Again he marveled at how quiet the forest was. He marked the area the deer had fallen and went after his friend to help him retrieve it. No where when the returned could they find the deer. A few months later they were in the area and found the deer in an entirely different area. He recognized the skull as the deer had a unique set of horns. He knew because he watched the deer fall and knew where it should have been.

Report Posted To GCBRO Web Site On: March 1, 2008
DATE: March 17, 1975
TIME: Night
LOCATION: Baylor County, Texas
TERRAIN: Scrub brush along river
OBSERVED: This is a second hand report. I worked for XXXXXX in Lubbock, texas. A contract foreman friend of mine was camping on an employee's ranch (employee's father). My friend XXXX was just about to go to sleep in the back seat of his Suburban. He had the windows rolled down about six inches. He said that he was just about asleep, but looked out the window. He saw a hairy face at the window at his feet side. XXXX raised his .357 up and drew down on the face. He was scared but did not shoot. He said later that he didn't want to go to jail over a prank. The hairy-faced thing walked around the back of the Suburban, walked behind the vehicle, walked by the side the other window, and got in front of the vehicle. At this time, XXXX leaned over the seat and turned the headlights on. XXXX said that at this point, he knew it wasn't a prank. The creature was 7"-8" tall and was hairy all over. The face had hair all over except for the eye to nose area. He said that the upper lip had hair hanging down to about it's chin. He estimated the weight to be from 500-800 pounds. The buttocks area was out of proportion with the rest of the body. The buttocks area was larger. After he turned the headlights on, the creature blew him off, much like a deer would. I remember this comment well, because he talked about the long hair on it's upper lip blowing straight out before it left. I have endured a bit of ridicule over this story. My daughter was born March 24, 1975. The weekend after her birth my wife came home from the hospital. I went on a hunting expedition the day she came home from the hospital. There was no one to help her out, and I caught flack from her and my monster (mother)- in-law. We were going back to shoot the thing with a .45-.70. Of course, we never saw the thing. I still remember the bright shade of red on my friend XXXX's face when he would tell me that story.
Activities of Witness: Was camping on river, fire had gone out, drank a few beer. was about to go to sleep in back seat of Suburban
Description of Creature: 7"-8" tall, 500-800 lb., buttocks area larger in proportion to rest of body, no neck, hairy face except around eyes and nose, very long hair on upper lip that extended to creature's chin
Other Notes: The land owner ridiculed the story. The ranch had been in the family for a long time. No one had seen or heard of any such sightings.
Other (Informational or Encounter History in the General Area) Notes: I have no way of knowing. This was a pretty good trip from Lubbock, and I didn't know the owner. His son worked on the "jug crew" for XXXXX Seismic Part XXX. XXXX was the contract foreman.
Additional Notes and or Follow up Comments: My friend XXXX XXXXXX was an ex gun shop owner. He left the Lubbock area, moved back to Illinois. He became a police detective for the Mt Vernon Illinois Police Department. He was a bruiser of a man who was quite shaken by the experience. He is dead now. A friend of ours, XXXXXX XXXXXXX, later moved back to Salem, Illinois and is also deceased. He accompanied us on our "hunting expedition." He did not believe XXXX and came with us to target practice.

I still think that with all the technology these days, I dont see how anything like a "big foot" could exist without being found . He's stealthy and quick like ninja. That giant body is so nimble!

I grew up in Klamath the place where one of the sounds came from. I have never heard of a big foot sighting that close to where I was. Oh and Bob too funny.

That is an interesting part of the legend where Bigfoot always drags a stick along the ground behind him. Very odd behavior.

Some of the more recent bigfoot sightings. True or not, they are all really cool encounters, or stories. Date: october, 2005 Morgan county, AL
Nearest town: Decatur Nearest road: Hwy 67 Conditions: Sunny Time: early afternoon Location: Wheeler Refuge off of hwy 67
Description of event: Me, my husband, and his friend went to the refuge to walk the trails and see wildlife. We were on the last trail coming to the end when I saw what I thought was a large man dressed in black picking up corn. Upon watching this creature we soon realized it was no man. Its arms were nearly as long as its whole body, it didn't seem to even have a neck. And it was as wide as a truck! My husband is an avid outdoors man and he had his knife out the entire time thats how scared he was. We watched the creature feed and then it just walked off into the woods nearby. The weird thing is we couldnt hear it when it got in the woods a creature that big should make quite a bit of noise. We left right after the creature was out of sight. I want to go back to that very spot but my husband refuses to go.
Next one....
Bow hunters describe encounter with a "screaming banshee"
Date: Fall August 30, 1986 Jefferson county, OR
Nearest town: Sisters Nearest road: Hwy 20, Santiam Pass Conditions: sunny Time: dusk 7:30 pm Location: Round Lake, off Hwy 12
From the hunters' perspective: The screamer traveled from right to left, behind the trees. I interviewed the witness and his brother on August 31, 2002. We were camped next to these two men. They were bow hunters who had been hunting this area nearly all their lives. When asked about Bigfoot, the witness was skeptical. Later that evening, however, the men joined us at our campfire and the subject came up again. The younger of the two said, "Well, did you tell her about the banshee that screamed at us?"
My ears immediately perked up. "Screams?" I asked.
The older brother looked at his younger sibling. "Hmmm. I'd forgotten about that." And he began to tell the tale of a hunting trip during the last weekend of August, 1986. The two were scouting a fresh location less than a mile south of there, where their father had shot a buck from the road the previous day.
It was right along First Creek. The young men took their bows in the late evening and hiked up the logging road beside the creek, hoping to find a perfect location to set up tree stands. They found it. A steep ridge covered in dense pine trees provided a cool shady area for the deer to bed down during the day. At the base of the ridge was a clearing which the road ran through, perfect for moonlit grazing. The road had turned to the right and parallel the base of the ridge for 50 yards or so. The brothers set out to set up their ambush, reveling in the perfect spot they'd found. Then the screaming started.
The men looked at one another, terrified. They began backing down the road, scanning the treeline for any sign of the cause of the commotion. "At first, we thought it was a cat. But I've heard cougars and they don't sound like that. Then I thought, 'Maybe the cat is killing something'." But that didn't explain it either. It was like a woman was being murdered, only the screams were deeper and louder."
Then men began to run. The sound paralleled them, staying with them, never coming closer, never diminishing, and there was no sound of crashing brush. Only when the road turned 90 degrees and headed back toward the main road, and they reached the main road did it stop.
They hightailed it back to camp, the younger of the two joking that "maybe it was Bigfoot". The subject was brought up briefly around the camprfire, but when none of the hunters would say much about the "banshee" they heard, the subject was dropped. I asked the men if it ever occurred to them, being seasoned veterans of the Oregon woods, exactly what a "banshee" might look like... they laughed and said they never really thought about it. When asked if they had ever tried hunting that direction again, the eldest brother grinned sheepishly and pointed over my head in the opposite direction of First Creek, saying, "Nah. We've hunted over that way ever since."
I asked the brothers if they would be able to recognize the screams if they heard them again. Both were emphatic that they would, that they would never forget the sounds they heard that day. I brought them over to the van, put in a CD, and cranked up the Klamath recording. They both went white, their eyes as round as saucers. "That's the sound!" the eldest exclaimed. "The screams we heard were longer, they were sustained for, like, 4 seconds, but that's the sound!"
The brothers agreed to take us up there the following morning. We drove down, following them. They had admitted the night before that they were both a little apprehensive about visiting that part of the woods again. The eldest brought his bow, carefully explaining that "every time I don't bring it, I see a deer".
The area was virtually unchanged, they said. We hiked up the road, which took a 90 degree turn to the right. They took us to the exact spot at which the screams first started. I started up the road from that point on, realizing that the road took an immediate LEFT and paralleled the prior portion of the road, allowing the screamer to parallel them without making brush noise.
I was greatly impressed by the men's knowledge of the woods, particularly of that area, and of their genuine emotional reactions to hearing the recording.
and more.....
Date: april12, 2007 Coos county, OR
Nearest town: Sitkum Nearest road: Coos Bay Wagon Rd. Conditions: Snowing Time: mid morning Location: Brummett Crk Rd and Carls Crk Juction
Description of event: My husband and I were driving on Brummett Crk Rd goofing off in the snow. As we reached Brummett Crk and Carls Crk Rd. junction, we noticed some movement up under a huge fir tree. We stopped and seen what looked to us as a very large ape-man like thing moving behind the tree. We watched as it looked at us for about 1 min and then it turned and went up a steep ravine on 2 legs while it looked back at us several times.
My husband didn't want get out of pickup because of the size of it. It was over 9 feet tall and had to be over 500 lbs. We know the height because we went back a week later and had a tape with us to estimate its height.
The only sound we heard was a low grunting type sound. It was very scary for it to look at us, and we didn't know what kind of thing it was. Its face was very hard to look at because we were very scared of it. The Ape-man thing did not try to hurt us... it looked suprised as we were.
one more to keep ya interested.
Date: may, 1987 Limestone county, AL
Nearest town: Athens Nearest road: Elkton Conditions: Clear & Warm Time: noon Location:
Description of event: As a pre-teen myself and some friends would spend all day walking this creek fishing. The creek ran through a thick wooded area. There were no houses nearby. It had only one small bridge in the area that we traveled. At this bridge the water got deep, so we would have to exit the creek and travel along the bank. We would then cross a small dirt road and then back down to the bank.
This day I had gotten well ahead of my two friends, thinking I was going to fish the best spot first. After I crossed the road and headed down the bank, I started casting my rod. I soon began hearing the rusting of something headed down the bank in my direction. This area has many different types of wildlife. I became still, hoping to catch a glimpse of maybe a deer. The noises stopped maybe 100 yards of me. For about maybe 10-15 seconds, I heard nothing. It soon went from quite to very loud. It was the sound of dogs or coyotes. They seemed to be fighting each other. I could tell from the growls and then yelps that one was winning and one was losing. My two friends could hear the sounds and came running. We all remained quite as not to draw attention to us. This fight lasted only 2-3 minutes. It all ended with a series of yelps a dog makes when it is hurt.
We all stood motionless for a few more minutes, before creeping along to see what had happened. As we made our way toward the area where the fight had happened we were horrified at what we saw.
There were pieces of animal scattered in different places. A leg here and and a leg there. Blood covered the ground. The toros of one dog had be ripped from the head. We stood looking in disbelief at what we saw. We all agreed it was time to leave.
No more than we started to walk that a large brown blur began to run thourgh the woods. It moved very fast and was gone in no time. We wasted no time making our on exit. I cannot tell you what the brown object was. I only know it was very large. It was very fast. After we were safe at home, we bagan to talk about what we thought we saw. We all marveled at how such a large animal could move so fast and so Quiet!
One note I would like to point out, there are no bears or large predators in this area of the state. We didn't smell anything abnormal, nor did we see any tracks. Of course we wern't really looking for them either.
The have been reports of a large bipedal creature in this area since this encounter. The only difference in what we saw in comparison to these stories is the creature is completely white. It has been refered to as "The white thing".
