Excellent subject!
I think the burmuda triangle is pretty strange and there is no doubt that something is going on there there for sure. One of the biggest complaints travelers have is that their electronics or watches get screwed up. Also, an unsual number of sinkings and storms are known to take place. Back during the vietname war my father was in the Navy on a mine sweeper that almost sank in the burmuda triangle. There had been bad storms and he said that looking out the windows of the ship the waves were higher than the ship often, plus water spouts everywhere.
I did go through there on a cruise to the bahamas a couple of years ago but it was uneventful thank Goodness.

I would love to see waht its all about, but with all the "gone missing", I would rather keep my hiney on land. I know so many people that said their electronics went crazy. To me thats a sign of something. I would love to investigate the phenominon and see if thre is a high magnetic field somewhere somehow in the water, causeing the occurances. I think GHI should try and do that investigation.

I've seen some very good shows about this too! One theory that was sort of tested was methane gas bubbles because there is a high concentration of methane in that area. The test showed that an exceptionally large one could sink a smaller vessel but it failed to explain the electronic problems and other things. But yes it is an interesting thing to explore but like you, I'd rather do it from a distance than wind up being one of those legends among the missing. lol

I've sailed through it, flown through it, skydived into it, and spent a few days alone (with the wife) on a private island (beach was spectacular) and so far I haven't disappeared (at least as far as I can tell). But wouldn't it be absolutely freakin' neat to go into the triangle and warp into some other dimension? Well, as long as it was a cool dimension and you didn't end up taco filling for some creepy creature's dinner.

My Dad was stationed in Bermuda when he was a teenager/early 20's. He was a navigator in the Navy and flew in the amazingly cool PBY Catalina sea plane.
The only story he mentioned was when the pilot miscalculated the amount of fuel they put on board vs. the amount of weight. They became lost in some weather and the pilot was insisting on heading the wrong direction according to my dad and the co-pilot. The two of them eventually had to kick the crap out of him and take over the plane. Fortunately, it turns out my dad and the co-pilot were correct and made it back in time with less then a gallon of fuel to spare.
As far as the strange stories, he never put much stock in them and thought most of it was garbage.
