OK lets get all of the old timers here there own thread. Who remembers the show "in search of" with lenard nimoy? This is one of the shows from my brathood that really brought me to be interested in the paranormal and the old stories about things. I believe it was one of the first documentary type series to seriously look at these things.
For the younguns that don't remember this show was kind of a cross between GH and DT but with scientist/universities looking into the events and monsters and then providing the show with thier footage.

I remember the show and used to watch it all the time. It has been on several channels in the past.

Jeez, from my perspective, LN's show was, like, yesterday!
Does anyone remember "That's Incredible?" Not exactly paranormal, but anything "incredible" was fair game.
I was on an episode of the show years ago. I still have some of the memorabilia, including an "I'm with That's Incredible" bumper sticker.
Wish I could say I had a big part, but after 8 hours of filming during August, and being dressed like, and pretending it was the middle of winter, I ended up being little more than a shadow in a minute long portion of the segment.
Hey! I guess you could say I was a "shadow person." ;D

I'm not sure I even had a video recorder back then.
Here's a blurb about the show...
That's Incredible! was a reality television show that ran on the ABC television network from 1980 to 1984. In the tradition of Ripley's Believe It or Not! and Real People, the show featured people performing stunts and reenactments of allegedly paranormal events. The show was co-hosted by John Davidson, Fran Tarkenton and Cathy Lee Crosby, and was produced by Alan Landsburg Productions. Originally aired as an hour-long program, episodes were later re-edited into 30 minute segments for syndication.
Contrary to the blurb, it wasn't primarily about the paranormal. My episode had to do with a homocide investigation, and the unique technology used to solve it -- no spooks involved.
Anyway, I've never seen anything of consequence regarding the show, like where to get episode copies, and I doubt it's in syndication anymore because the episodes would no longer be timely.
But it was an interesting experience.
