Well I don't know where to begin on this because the show seemed like one big long commercial for other Sci fi shows and WWE. So how do we detail a 6 hour long commercial with wrestling? I say 6 hours because once the wrestler left they started getting more into the investigation and heavily into it the last hour. However, by then the damage was done and left many viewers either disappointed or hoping mad.
What really got me was when they zoned in on Krystin and Wiz. First of all, Krystin seemed to be flirting up a storm with him. Then the Wrestler decided to find parallels between the show and Wrestling. Bad move. VERY bad move! The first things that comes to people's minds when they think of wrestling is "fake" "Staged" "fixed". Need I say more? Then if that wasn't bad enough, Wiz could not keep himself quiet long enough for any kind of productive investigation to occur. What a shame too because that is why people watch this show is it not? Grant even seemed to eventually get a bit annoyed with it all.
Other than the wrestler, there was a lot of attempts at provoking these spirits; even going as far as calling one a chicken and a coward unless he threw a rock at their head. There was also quite a few times that they tried knocking in order to get a spirit to knock back and one time specifically, asking only for the attention of any ghost that should never have been a prisoner there. Now I have to wonder why some one who was miserable in life there, remain there as a ghost. Doesn't exactly sound like a real dream place for an afterlife destination does it?
I almost forgot to mention a few times that crew members claimed being touched or shoved by unseen hands. Of course there was a voice saying "You do not belong here" which most people felt sounded more like a recording or too mechanic to be authentic. But at least they really did a pretty good job at toning down the music this year.
We'll have to see what the reveal brings from this night.
Any more thoughts? Please share a recap of your own!

The night before Halloween Live 'Twas the night before Halloween, when all through the house Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse; The cameras were hung by the hallways with care, In hopes that a real ghost soon would be there; The children were nestled all snug in their beds, While visions of Ghost Hunters clouding their heads; And Jason in his sport coat, and Grant with his civil war cap, Had just settled down for a long fall's nap, When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
Grant sprang from the bed to see what was the matter. Away to the window he flew like a flash, Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash. The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow Gave the lustre of mid-day to objects below, When, what to my wondering eyes should appear, But a miniature pumpkin, and eight orbes of fear,
With a little old shadow, so lively and prim, He knew in a moment it must be Pilgrem. More rapid than eagles their coursers came, And they whistled, and shouted, and called them by name;
"Now, Kris! now, Steve! now, Tango and Chin! On, Krystin! on Donna! on, Barry and Brian!
To the top of the porch! to the top of the wall! Now dash away! dash away! dash away all!" As dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly, When they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky,
So up to the house-top the orbes they flew, With all the fake evidence and that crappy K2.
And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the roof The footsteps and shuffling of each little spoof. As I drew in my hand, and was turning around, Down the chimney the cameraman came with a bound. He was dressed all in a Faraday Cage, from his head to his foot, And his clothes were all tarnished with ashes and soot; A bundle of props he had flung on his back, And he looked like a peddler just opening his pack.
His eyes -- how they twinkled! his dimples how merry! His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a fairy! His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow, And the beard of his chin was as fake as the show; The stump of a blunt he held tight in his teeth, And the smoke it encircled his head like a wreath; He had a broad face and a little round belly, That shook like the fans in that fake bar in Cali.
He was chubby and plump, a right jolly old elf, And Grant laughed when he saw him, in spite of himself; A wink of his eye and a twist of his head, Soon gave me to know that nothing was dead;
He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work, And filled all the cameras (with prerecorded footage); then turned with a jerk, And laying his finger aside of his nose, And giving a nod, up the chimney he rose;
He sprang to his orbes, to his team gave a whistle, And away they all flew like the down of a thistle.
But I heard him exclaim, ere he drove out of sight,
"We just love to fake it and we do it right." ~ Bowl

I don't have a recap, but several comments.
(1) As usual, entirely subjective reports and coincidental happenings dominate the investigation's "data." I saw or heard nothing of any evidential value.
(2) TAPS came off as highly amateurish. Steve G. and Dave T. looked like goof balls. WIZ might as well have been someone they randomly pulled off the street to participate in the investigation. He didn't know his *** from a hole in the ground. The taunting of the spirits was simply stupid. It's incredibly hard to take the live event seriously when the participants themselves don't.
(3) This was obviously one long "campaign ad" for other Sci-Fi shows. This is sadly testimony to just how popular Ghost Hunters is in relation to other Sci-Fi programs. Sci Fi is clearly seeking support for its other programs by loading this live event with commercial after commercial for other Sci-Fi shows and using characters from other Sci-Fi shows in the live event.
(4) The entire premise of the live event show is faulty. Here's the problem. If the paranormal phenomena being investigated are spontaneous in nature (as seems to be the case), the show is unlikely to document anything paranormal. It's a long shot. Your odds at hitting the big one in Vegas are better. On the other hand, if there's supposed to be good chance of documenting paranormal phenomena during such a show, not finding anything paranormal counts against there being any genuine paranormal phenomena at the location. Yet the location is chosen precisely because it's a hot spot. The whole procedure ends up engendering skepticism regarding the paranormal in general.
The only value to a live event show is that we can see how an actual investigation is conducted. But in that case I'd say we learned just how bad TAPS' investigative methodology is.

Frustrating isn't it? I know what was up with all their goofing off? It was bad enough to see a Wrestling keeping his mouth going about wrestling but then they do this? According to Grant they hated it too but Sci fi made them do it.
