I know of a lot of people out there who believe that animals, especially cats, notice ghosts quite well. Personally I wonder about this belief because how do you find out from the cat, what he/she is actually seeing?

I believe animals do sense ghosts. When we first moved into our house, I believe we may have had a ghost dog for the first month or so. I would be sitting on the sofa in the living room and hear the distinct sound of claws walking on the kitchen floor. The downstairs of our house is very open so it's easy to hear things in the other rooms. I expected my dog to come around the corner, but she came running down the stairs and looked into the kitchen then looked at me like "I hear the dog, where is it?" This happened almost every night and my dog was always either next to me on the sofa or she was upstairs, so I know it wasn't her. And she always noticed the sound even if she was upstairs. One day, I found an old dog tag that the previous owners left. Shortly after that the sounds stopped and I haven't heard it since. I tried to think of other explanations for the sounds, like an animal outside or something. But I could compare the sound to the sound of my dog walking in the kitchen and it was exactly the same. It came from the middle of the room, not the corners like an animal outside, and there is a second floor room above the kitchen, so there's no attic space for an animal to have been in.
Sorry for the long and semi-OT story. lol

I believe animals see and sense ghosts. When I lived in my house with all the activity my dogs would act very odd and when the appertion or whatever it was would appear they would run and hide under the bed. I am still not clear what was going on in that house but there was something freaky going on.

Eh I don't know. It kind of makes sense that if there are ghosts that animals would see them. I think people literally think too much and that can cause problems. We warp(lol funny word) our minds in to what we want and block out things that we don't want to use or remember. Animals on the other hand don't do that, they basically love you, eat and poop so for them they might be able to experience more then a human could.
