Scientists who study sleep have effectively proven that old hag syndrome, also known as sleep paralysis is really due to chemical reactions taken place in the body as you sleep. Those that wake up faster than such chemicals have time to wear off wake up with terrifying experiences of feeling paralysis, and often times suffocated, and or hallucinations of some dark ominous entity in the room with them or sitting on their chest. Still some people, although acknowledging these scientific studies, insist that sometimes they are a result of spiritual activity. Have you ever experienced sleep paralysis? I have at least 3 times. Also, do you think that sometimes there is something going on beyond the scientific explanation for it?

Also, do you think that sometimes there is something going on beyond the scientific explanation for it? I think there are cases where we don't fully understand what is going on yet. I think that is especially true when dealing with the brain. There are so many alterations that can occur due to drugs, illness and just plain exhaustion. Each of these alterations can affect the person differently. That's why I say there really are no paranormal events, just extra-normal events that we haven't figured out yet.
I saw Jason and Grant being interviewed once and they said the first place they look during a paranormal investigation is the client's medicine cabinet. Much as I hate to agree with Jason and Grant, I think that was some very good advice.
