FRITCH, Texas — Investigators have identified two men who were aboard a plane found on a receding, drought-stricken lake in the Texas Panhandle after disappearing for 24 years. Steven Lampe was the pilot of the small, two-seat Beech 77. Larry Lucas was his passenger, officials said. www.foxnews.com/index.html(first link refused to work. But I did find the story here and you may have to do a search on their site for it.) That's why I get worried about swimming in lakes. lol Or one of the many reasons why. I always get creeped out wondering what kinds of things or dead bodies are lurking below me. Another reason and okay don't laugh, but I get worried about a big huge snapping turtle biting onto my foot or leg and then swiming deep below the surface with me. Okay soo maybe that's a little of me.

Not at all, Spooky. Except, I don't think the snapping turtle would swim down deep with you. It would probably only sever the toe or foot and swim down deep with that. Feel better? Well...maybe a little better but then I might go into shock from losing my toe and sink down and get tangled in weeds? And still there is that visibility problem with the water and not knowing what is lurking beneath me.

Well, I would be mad too if 2 guys who look like they are from Deliverance held me 3 feet off the ground. Poor turtle.

Haha silly me, what was I thinking? everything other than red meat tastes like a chicken! Would you believe that inspite of being so worried about getting bitten by one of these in a lake, I actually rescued a huge one off a busy street a long time ago? I'd do it again even. lol

I think I saw a barracuda when I was snorkeling in Bermuda. The water was silty because it was spring and all I could see was a big black shape move under me. Kinda freaked me out!

They are very vicious!!! and fast on the ground and water!! Mhm I found that out that day! I thought he was acting slow. But I kept trying to pull him off the road with cars whipping by me back and forth and he kept trying to snap back at me and I had to keep letting go of him. Finally he just go so angry with me, that he took chase after me into the woods but safely off the road at least. Very strange experience and I had no idea that he would try to chase me like that but it worked!
