Thank you for sharing further insight on this horribly tragic story. That girl's parents must have been floored when they found out that this 16 year old romancer was actually the friend's mother from down the street playing games. I can see why she would be vague about it, especially if it was some one from the internet, she'd probably feel that her parents would forbid her to use the internet and keep talking to this character.

Another good point. No one wants to be separated from someone they care about. She may not have told her parents anything until the last day or so of her life, when she thought the pain was unbearable.

I think so. I know that at 13, I would have been sneaky about it if I thought I was dating some one 16 or over, especially if they were some one from myspace with all the myspace hysteria that has been on the news. I would have expected my parents to pull the plug on my computer if I said anything. I bet she broke down that day and said something to them about it, after the nasty messages she got, and they were talking about it and what to do, not realizing that she was upstairs ending her life.

I can't even imagine the horror and shock those poor parents felt when they went upstairs and found her. It just makes my skin crawl. I wonder how they discovered it was the neighbor that did it?

My guess is that people talk. It got back to them. Someone who knew the truth would have been horrified enough to spill the beans. This is why I seldom believe in conspiracy theories. Someone will always talk.

I agree Pink my first thought was to get those kids away from that unstable viper. I just hope she gets close to what she deserves. But nothing can make up for that poor young girls life.

Whether she's found guilty or not guilty, her life will never be the same. And her daughter has learned a very valuable lesson, albeit in a very hard way.
I've seen blogs where people are tracking the family. When they sold their house and moved, the new address and phone number appeared in blogs right away.
