I personally could not STAND 1984...but its been a good 6 years since I've been forced to read it..I just could not stand the premise so I don't think thatll change my opinion of it.

I'm not sure what the worst book I've ever read would be. I'm guessing it was something I had to read in college, though I really can't be sure which. If anything, I would lean towards Paradise Lost by John Milton. I remember struggling through that book, even with cliff notes.

I can't say for certain, because if I hate the book I stop reading it as soon as I realize I hate it.

I had a theory about Paradise Lost when I was forced to read it.
I had heard somewhere that John Milton was a major misogynist. I had also heard that he was blind, and had to have his daughter(s?) write it down for him. My theory was that he hated women so much (and, by extension, his daughter/daughters) that he created Paradise Lost strictly as a means of torturing them.

For me, MacBeth was quite boring, as was this book I had to read called "The Pearl".

I didn't mind Macbeth, I also enjoyed Twelfth Night. My favorite character was Sir Toby Belch for obvious reasons.
