After speaking with people in the chat room recently, I have noticed that I am only one of many involved in the aweful battle of the buldge. With the reality of working, children and just plain real life, it makes it very hard for people to stay on top of it and have that motivation to continue and hit their weight loss/health goal. Thats where this thread comes in . For those who are on a diet and NOT afraid to be proud that they are doing something to improve their health and way of life, for whatever reason. For those who want to have motivation , keep motivation and have someone to turn to for advise and support. This is the thread for you. We are each others best motivation. In this thread you can write about your setbacks, your accomplishments, diet receipts that YOU have personally used that seem to work or what exercizes that may help someone in their battle. I dont want anyone to feel afraid to post in this thread. You should feel free to post your (if you like)weight, photos, anything that you may have been holding to yourself with no one to share with, without feeling as if you would be mocked. In numbers we survive, alone we fall. So please, join us in the 1st ever Phantama Losers Club, and start changing your health today! *Please note!! Anyone found in this thread to be insulting, mocking, or rude in any form to a forum member, you will be warned and dealt with according by the Admin. That behavior will not be tolerated.

Well, ill start. Last April (07) I started the diet to drop 50 by october, if I did i would get to go to London for a weekend vacation. I busted my hiney running a mile or two a day and cut out carbs, and i did it. I dropped 55 lbs in that 6 months time and it felt great! But when the winter set in I was unable to go out running, and it took a huge toll. I gained back 10-15 lbs. Now, I have another goal. That is to loose a reasonable 30 lbs by October (my sisters wedding). This seems to be near impossible. I go to the gym and do 30minutes of cardio 6 days a week (thats over 2.5 miles a day), I also do a weight training session with my personal trainer 3-5 times a week, and I have a daily abs regiment put in place by my PT as well that I do 6 days a week. on top of that I have cut down on the carbs once again and alcohol has been cut down tremendously as well. As of today on month 2 of the diet I have lost only 2 lbs! This is making me wanna rip the hair out of my head give it all up and head to Vermont to the Ben and Jerrys factory and call it a day! But I refuse to quit. Something has gat to give. So, I am continuing the working out daily, and this week I am doing a cleansing of cabbage soup to detox and see if that is something that is effecting me. Tonight I do the measurements to see if I have dropped inches, when I get home I will post about it. 30 in 4 months.. thats less than 10 lbs a month .. that should be sooooooo do-able. Its just getting my body and my actions to finally catch up. and my summer weakness is the damn hot fudge sundaes! lol

When I dated my sons father I got so depressed cause of him that I stopped eating, I would pick at food. I would get really hungry and then when I went to put the food in my mouth I wasnt hungry anymore. I lost so much weight. I know its not the healthy way of doing things. But I would just drink juice or milk or water or iced tea. Then I got pregnant and in the first four months of my pregnancy I lost 4 pounds. Its cause i had morning sickness and evrytime i ate i well ya know. it tasted the better the first time. But then i gained like 30-40lbs being pregnant. and im having the issues of taking the weight off. I plan on starting to walk around my block soon and do what i need to to get this weight off. especially going into the law enforecment. I dont wanna stop running after a criminal after half a block!

I stopped drinking pop and lost about 3-4 pounds. I only have it if I go out to eat. I figured if I dropped it altogether, I'd end up drinking a ton of it at some point.

This will also entail completely forsaken alcohol and during the 30-40 stage, make one day a month a cheat day. I think you will be very happy with the results if you try this approach. Purchase some keto-stix to check to see if your body is in ketosis, which is what causes your body to start using up your stored fat to burn for fuel, due to lack of carb intake.

i think thats my knewest problem spooky... i have been keeping a journal and im eating about 6 -10 carbs a day and less than 500 calories. which technically i should be burning everything since a 30 minute on the elyptical is 350 calories.. so i should be loosing no problem. I tried to eat more food and get on a regular 1500 calorie and low carb and i ended up gaining weight so im at one of those blocks where im kinda confused. and foz.... coke zero has no calories, carbs or sodium and taste just like regualr coke. liss ... anything as long as its 30 minutes.. the more intense the more result but they say a 30 minute brisk walk even will burn anywhere betweeen 250-350 calories depending on your weight

I have done that too, lol...You can do it, and so can the others!!! I only eat once a day. I know, I know...that's not healthy. But in my line of work, it's easy. I walk roughly 3 to 5 miles a day. Also, a lot of heavy lifting, so I am building muscles!!!!

Eat often (at least five times a day) small portions,(eat until your content, not full). No fried foods, cut sugar (that includes Diet Soda or any soda for that matter) Cut out trans and saturated fats. Just be mindfull about what you take into your body. Does it make you feel sluggish, energetic, healthy? Too lose weight in combo with dieting, do 30 minutes of cardio four times a week. I'm a vegetarian but if you eat meat stick to grilled chicken and fish.
